Around the world drink millions of cups of coffee every day. It has become a staple of life. There is a StarBucks around every corner. So is coffee really this good or is it just so addictive? Probably a little of both. Good coffee has a taste that is best described as sexy. It is rich and full bodied. Not many things can come close to a good cup. Maybe chocolate, but people wanting to lose weight don't turn to chocolate to burn calories.

As with all things, you have to drink your coffee in moderation. A cup a day isn't bad, but on the other hand, if you are drinking a whole pot every other hour it will most definitely have negative effects. Some people drink it from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed. Just like alcoholism, it is an addictive behavior.

Coffee stains your teeth.

We all know what the color of coffee stained teeth are. It is up there with cigarette smoke stained teeth. You can buy things to whiten your teeth. I would suggest though that instead of trying to whiten your teeth, you cut back a little on the brew.

Bad breath.

Coffee breath is like smokers breath. Nobody wants to kiss that.

It raises stress levels.

Too much coffee can make you edgy. When it happens you become stressed out. Coffee is a stimulant so too much can make you feel like you're going a mile a minute.

Sterility.

Coffee can lower your sperm count. It may be offset by the fact that your on a caffeine high and your little swimmers are fighting like crazy for the goal. It's a stretch, I know.

Stomach problems.

Too much coffee can irritate the stomach lining. Not good for people who suffer from heartburn or have ulcers.


Here are some benefits of coffee:

It can be a social drink. Instead of the bar and alcohol try a coffee house around lunch time. A cup of coffee could be a good reason to go out and meet new people. You never know, you might meet a good friend or get lucky because of coffee!

It is good after a meal. Many people have a cup of coffee after dinner. Or try a cup with rich chocolate cake.

As with all things in life, you need to do things in moderation.
